Walk along the lush promenade atop the Renaissance walls, a peaceful haven offering panoramic views of medieval towers and church spires, along with shady retreats to escape the Tuscan sun.

The first stop sets the tone with a classic Italian breakfast. Indulge in a perfectly brewed espresso and flaky pastries as you learn about Italy’s morning rituals and the secrets to living like a local. (In certain seasons, gelato might replace breakfast as a refreshing finale, with the local snack served earlier.)

Your exploration continues through Lucca’s historic landmarks and hidden treasures nestled in its medieval backstreets. Discover the city’s architecture, art, and musical heritage, including a visit to the former home of opera legend Giacomo Puccini.

As you stroll down Lucca’s bustling main shopping street, admire elegant palazzos and visit charming gourmet shops to uncover authentic local delicacies. Keep an eye out for vintage signs hinting at Lucca’s artisan roots, from silk merchants to knife grinders.

The tour concludes in the iconic Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, a vibrant square steeped in history. Here, you’ll savor a plate of traditional antipasti, featuring fennel salami and pecorino cheese from the Garfagnana mountains. Pair it with a glass of Lucchese wine or craft beer as you soak in the lively ambiance of this unforgettable Tuscan gem.

Flavours of Lucca Small Group Tour with Food Tasting and Wine My husband and I booked this tour because we both love food and wanted to taste the delights of Lucca as well as find out about it\'s the history.. This tour did not disappoint; Sara our guide was very informative and the food was absolutely lovely. The tour was just long enough to get to know the town and we finally ended at the old Colosseum that is a converted square where there were lots of places to eat. Would recommend this as a must do is visiting Lucca. Data dell\'esperienza: agosto 2019

Fun way to get to know Lucca Tasting your way through Lucca is a good idea. This tour was lead by Chiara who is a very happy, friendly person. She has great enthusiasm for her topic (food) and her location (Lucca). We had three stops: sweets and coffee in the back cavern of a pastry shop; for slices of pizza (you get to guess the ingredient); for meats and cheese and wine in the main plaza of Lucca. Pleasant people and a great way to spend a few hours.
