Frequently Asked Questions

Please email us at info@tuscanylocaltours.com and tell us your problem! We’ll get back to you right away.

We usually visit places where big groups can’t fit, so our tours have a maximum group size of 10-12 people. This way, we don’t draw attention to ourselves or disturb the locals as they go about their day, so you’re able to have a real experience and immerse yourself in the local atmosphere. On very rare occasions there may be slightly more travellers for our most popular tours.

Nope! Our tours are guaranteed to depart, even with only one traveler. However, we will contact you to let you know if you will be alone, so that if you wish to move to another day with other travelers, you can!

We provide physical ratings for each of our tours, ranging from an easy low to an active high. The physical rating for each tour is listed in the additional information section on our website.

We try to make our walking tours accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. Check the accessibility and physical rating for each tour, which is listed in the additional information section on our website.

Of course. Our tours are fully inclusive and we regularly welcome travellers from all walks of life.

Yes, we are child and family friendly! The minimum age and child policy is included in the additional information section of our website, and children under four are free of charge. However, if you require a stroller, please check that the tour is also listed as accessible.

We are happy to make adjustments to your tour to cater to your dietary requests, provided you advise us in advance. When you book your tour, please make a note that you need a modified menu. Our guides will do everything in their power to ensure your needs are met.

We recommend you plan your arrival in advance in order to arrive on time for your tour, especially when you are in a different destination and transport can take longer than expected. You can contact us the day before and ask information how to get to the meeting point. Because we want to ensure our other guests can completely enjoy their tour, all our tours start on time. If you know you are going to be late, please contact Tuscany Like A Local via the number on your tour voucher and we will tell you how to reach the rest of the group. Unfortunately, if you are late and do not notify us, the tour will start without you and you will not be entitled to a refund, as per our terms and conditions.

The tour meeting point is listed on both your voucher and on the tour page on the website. We only provide pick-ups for private tours. We can provide on foot pick-up from your hotel if located in the city centre and no transportation is required, please ask in advance. If you need a private transfer from port, airport or hotel please email us at info@tuscanylocaltours.com and we will arrange it for you for an additional charge.

We provide custom tours around the cities and countryside of Tuscany and slightly beyond. We can create a tailor made tour to be exactly the experience you wish. If you are travelling in a large group and wish to book a private tour, email us at info@tuscanylocaltours.com and we’ll help you plan a day out you will never forget! We can even customise tours for team building or business meetings, family reunions, birthdays, wedding celebrations and more!

We don’t want you to miss out on your tour just because of a little rain, so most tours will go ahead in all weather conditions (please bring with your rain jacket if bad weather). If you have booked a bike tour you can choose to use it in a walking mode. However, if tours will be cancelled under extreme circumstances, if that is the case we will contact you to move your tour to another day. For that reason, please make sure your booking includes a phone number or email address where we can contact you while you’re travelling.

We recommend you bring it as an electronic version on your smartphone so you don’t lose it (and so you save the trees!). If there is an age restriction on your trip you may need to provide personal ID that proves your age.

You can cancel your tour up to 48 hours prior to the starting time. Any cancellations made after that window are subject to a 100% cancellation fee, as per our terms and conditions.
